This
organization is a social group for undergraduate and graduate students
who wish to obtain their Master's of Arts and/or PhD. We feature
speakers, usually CSUF faculty, who describe their own educational
journeys and experiences, as well as their current research projects.
Students obtain invaluable information that will facilitate their own
educational experience and help to build their academic vitae.
We sponsor an annual conference
in the early Spring with a special keynote
speaker each year (click
here for conference information). All
students and faculty are encouraged to submit
their critical essays and original works
of fiction or poetry.
Together with
the English Department we host a Commencement Reception for all MA
graduates.
Other activities
we currently sponsor:
Summer Book Club
Help students create study groups for the
MA exam
Compiling a list of faculty fields of study
to direct students in finding a reader for their MA project.
We are always adding new plans and
projects. If you have any suggestions please contact us at acaciagroup@gmail.com
